Our History

Historic Greenport The Peconic Star Fleet sails from Greenport, which is located 24 miles east of Riverhead and 7 miles west of Orient Point. Berthed at The Railroad Dock on 3rd street, the vessel is located only steps away from Long Island Railroad's historic Greenport Station/ Maritime Museum and the Shelter Island Ferry's North Terminal. There are many shops, restaurants, delicatessens and hotels located by the dock. Parking at the dock is free, safe and plentiful.

For the family, Greenport and its surrounding area have many things to offer. History is everywhere on the North Fork. A once famous whaling port, Greenport still maintains its charm and nautical flavor. The historic village is well known for its fine old homes that once knew whaling captains and their families. Shopping for antiques, nautical items, art and handicrafts, as well as touring historical sites and local museums, can make for a busy and rewarding day, but since you've taken the time to read this far, we know the real reason for your interest; that is our fleet.

The North Fork area is one of the most well known for fishing on Long Island, and the Peconic Star Fleet certainly shares its frame. The Peconic Star II measures at 90 feet in length and is USCG certified to carry 150 passengers. The Peconic Star Express is 80 feet in length and is USCG certified to carry 150 passengers. They are the North Fork's largest, fastest and most modern supercruisers. Equipped with the latest state of the art navigation and communication gear, Radar, Sonar, fish finders, safety equipment and personal conveniences, plus a dynamic super sound system that provides quality background music for the relaxation, or professional DJ-style music for the listening and dancing on moonlight cruises and excursions. Add to that, a galley offering tasty snacks and ice cold beverages, a heated cabin for the cooler days, and a spacious sundeck for unsurpassed views of our fabulous scenery, and you have what many feel is the most innovative party boat fleet on Long Island.

After sailing with the Peconic Star Fleet, we're sure you will agree that there are no finer fishing vessels. Should they ever get around to giving awards for the friendliest and most helpful crew aboard a party boat, the crews on the Peconic Star Fleet will get the blue ribbon for sure. Forever preoccupied with making every trip a pleasant and personal adventure, one not soon forgotten; the crew leaves nothing to chance, from instructions for the novice and the rigging up, to cleaning your catch ready for the skillet. The crew insures that not only the fishermen enjoy their trip, but the families as well. So bring the kids and Mom along, it's always fun and a big thrill for them. Don't forget the camera, and if you don't fish, come along for a delightful ride and enjoy the scenic delights of Long Island's last outpost of natural beauty.
